Behind the Stories
Hi, I’m Ruo! A working mom of two little boys, a storyteller, and someone who believes the lessons we share with our kids today shape the way they see the world tomorrow.
I write children’s books to spark connection between kids and the adults who guide them such as parents, teachers, and caregivers. Each story weaves in the values of resilience, kindness, curiosity, creativity, and emotional intelligence.
I love bringing stories to life by turning simple ideas into colorful adventures that children can see, feel, and carry with them long after the last page is read. My books are inspired by everyday parenting moments: the way kids light up when they discover something new, or how they wrestle with big feelings that don’t always have words.
Every book I create has a simple goal: to strengthen the bond between parents and children. My latest story, How Friends Become Rainbows, is the first book in a new series called Rayen’s Imaginarium — a collection of imaginative tales that spark creativity while teaching kids valuable lessons about emotions, culture, resilience, and the changing world around them. From exploring feelings through colors, to imagining the future of technology, to learning about history and community, each adventure in the series helps children grow in both heart and mind.
Beyond my children’s books, I’m also creating The Wealth Playbook for Moms & Dads, a practical guide (coming soon!) to help busy parents build financial confidence, balance family life, and create legacies that last. It’s another way I hope to empower families, this time by giving grown-ups tools for security and growth.
When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me chasing after my boys, working full-time in Management, helping my mom with her business, or dreaming up new projects that inspire both kids and parents to grow together.
Thank you for being here. It means the world to me. I hope these books bring joy to your home or classroom, and maybe even spark a few new colors in your own rainbow of memories.
